Monitoring Service Providers must actively and continuously monitor their disabled parking bays to ensure that they are freely available to disabled drivers and not abused by non-disabled drivers. |

Required Provision of Dedicated Parking Spaces
Workplaces - 1 per disabled employee plus 1 space or 2% of the total capacity, whichever is the greater.
Shopping, recreation & leisure - 1 per disabled employee plus 6% of the total capacity.
Rail Car Parks - 1 per disabled employee plus 5% of the total capacity.
Churches - 2 spaces.
Crematoria - 2 spaces. |

Service Providers are required to provide adequate and suitable parking for disabled customers and visitors:
Location of bays to be within 50m of the entrance
Bays should be suitable designated by appropriate signage
Bays should be monitored to ensure no abuse by non-disabled drivers
Clear signs should show the way to the disabled parking bays
Bays should be lined or painted to establish location
Bays need to be large enough to accomodate wheelchair users |
